Controlling leaf-spotting diseases of peanuts

The experiment was carried out on the Brown Sands at Ebini, during the long rainy season to assess 6 locally available fungicides (Duter, Antracol, Dithane M45, Cupravit, Kocide 101 and Daconil) for control of leaf spot. The peanut variety used was F.A.O. 11899 (AK 62). No significant difference was found between the different fungicides, however, the difference between the rates was significant at the 5 % level. From visual assessment, Antracol at 1 lb/acre and Daconil at 2 lbs/acre seemed to be the best chemicals for control
