Evaluation of various control practices and their time of application against the whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Genn) and some other pests on fall cucumber

Results showed that the use of transparent plastic mulch was effective in limiting the numbers of whiteflies which were consequently affecting final yield. Application of insecticide at the flowering stage in three times weekly intervals was most effective for reducing the infection of whitefly and other pests such as Aphis gossypii Glv. and Thrips tabaci Lind. Sprays postponement to the flowering stage caused substantial effect in conserving number of natural enemies (such as Deraecoris Pallens. Reut. and Orius. Spp.) in the field in order to play their role in regulating the populations of cucumber pests
