Effect of protein-balanced feed rations according to ARC system or Polish norms on the performance of fattened bulls

An investigation on 50 young Black-and-White bulls fed with restricted or ad libitum formulated according to Polish or ARC standard rations was carried out. Lower daily weight gains and better feed conversion efficiency in bulls fed with "ARC ration" than in those fed with the "Polish ration" were observed. Significantly lower of NH3-N level in the rumen fluid of bulls fed with the "ARC ration" than those fed with "Polish ration" was stated
