Morphological studies on the cheek teeth of the donkey (Equus assinus)

Investigation were carried out with 20 donkeys of both sexes aged between 4 and 15 years. There are 6 lower cheek teeth, 3 premolars and 3 molars. The first premolar (Wolf) tooth is absent. There are 7 cheek teeth, 4 premolars and 3 molars in the upper jaw. All teeth are described in detail in this paper.
