Inheritance of some characteristics of hybrids of pale yellow (PY) flue-cured tobacco

The manner of inheritance of production and chemical properties of F 1, F 2, B 1 and B 2 hybrids of the pale yellow flue- cured tobacco (PY - pale yellow) has been investigated. Dominant inheritance of the PY properties has prevailed. The yield achieved by crossing the PY line with the normally green flue-cured genotypes has been lower. The plants mostly inherited the higher nicotine content and therefore a few inheritance types have been found: intermediary, partially dominant and dominant. The protein content did not change significantly. The carbohydrate content inheritance varied and therefore a few types of inheritance of the property have been found as well.
