Studies are carried out on several tomato hybrids planted in the fields for medium production, compared with the "Agimi" hybrid. This hybrid does not meet the demands of the market. Despite its good qualities, the fruit of the "Agimi" hybrid cracks, softens and does not stand the transpiration. The imported hybrids have vitality and higher productivity but, in general, their fruit doesn't stand high temperature, they soften and crack, creating difficulties for their marketing. The new "IPP 1431" hybrid, created upon the recommendation of the Vegetable and Potato Institute, represents priority in the quantitative and qualitative characteristics
