Six varieties/lines of mungbean were tested in late kharif of 1984 and early kharif of 1985 under rainfed condition at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Ishurdi to select suitable variety/line for summer planting. The seeds were broadcasted following Randomized complete block design. The line 7715 produced highest grain yield in both the year (1.36 and 1.23 t/ha) due to its association to maximum number of plants per square metre, highest number of pods per plant and maximum number of seeds per pod.
