The study describes and analyses the mechanisms of diffusion and adoption of Irish potatoes in Bafou. From this study, it appears that the adoption of Irish potatoes in the area is stimulated not only by the extension staff, peasants, and communication infrastructure development, but also by economic and social factors. Recommendations are made to ease the mechanisms of diffusion and adoption of Irish potato
