Nematodes associated with vegetables, fruits and field crop in Burundi, Africa

A total number of (156) soil samples were collected from rhizoshere of Banana, Musa acuminata; coffee, Coffeae arabica; common bean; Phaseolus vulgaris; colocasia; Colocasia esculenta; Sweet potato, Ipomea batatas; cassave; Manihot utilissima to identify the associated plant parasitic nematodes in Buyenzi, Burundi, Africa. The recorded results indicate the presence of Pratylenchus, Rotylenchulus, Meloidogyne, Helicotylenchus Hoplolaimus, Trichodorus, Criconemoides, Radopholus, Criconema and Dolichodorus in the analyzed soil samples with different frequencies of occurrence and population densities according to the surveyed locality and the cultivated host
