The method is similar to the principle component analysis but has an advantage of permitting the joint evaluation of qualitative and quantitative variables. This becomes possible by sorting the quantitative variables into classes and performing the evaluation from class frequencies. In the presented example the effect of factors acting on the oil content of sunflower achene is studied on the ground of cultivation data of some 80 000 ha.
