Ridomil MZ 58 as foliar spray against downy mildew of corn
1988
Cordero, F.S. | Tangonan, N.G. (Southern Mindanao Univ., Kabacan, Cotabato (Philippines). Dept. of Plant Pathology)
Rimodil MZ 58 (metalaxyl) applied as foliar spray to 10-day-old corn seedlings at the rates of 40, 50 and 60 g ai/ha, provided adequate control against downy mildew infection. There were no significant difference in the mean percentage infections of downy mildew taken at 25 and 35 days after planting. This result implies that Ridomil MZ 58 at its recommended seed dressing rate of 40 g ai/ha can also be applied as foliar spray to prevent infection of downy mildew in corn.
