Effect of fungi isolated from cystes of golden nematode (Globodera rostochiensis Woll.) on this nematode in vitro studies [Humicola fuscoatra, Trichoderma viridae, Cylindrocarpon destructans, Fusarium solani, Paecilomyces lilacinus]

Effects of 8 fungal species isolated from cystes of Globodera rostochiensis on cysts, eggs and larvae of this nematode were studied. After surface desinfection, cysts were placed in the Petri dishes with water agar inoculated with fungi and microscopic observations were carried out at 4, 8 and 12 weeks. The percentage of infected eggs also as morphological changes of their content was definied. The highest infestation of eggs was noted for Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium solani and Humicola fuscoatra - 58.8, 53.1 and 29.7 percent respectively. The other fungi infected less than 10 percent eggs in the cystes for 12 weeks of incubation. Fusarium oxysporum and Trichoderma viride caused deformations which were visible in larvae artifically released from eggs. Humicola fuscoatra strongly impaired the cyst wall, whereas Paecilomyces lilacinus and Cylindrocarpon destructans acted more slightly
