Influence of the sowing time on the growth and development of the yield components of sunflower hybrids

The effect that sowing time and hybrids have on the growth and development of Yugoslav sunflower hybrids (NS-H-26RM, NS-H-10 and NS-H-62RM), in agricultural and ecological conditions of north Backa (Yugoslavia), have been studied. It has been established that the sowing time had different effects on yield components and other properties of genetically distant sunflower hybrids. The seed yield and oil content had the greatest effect on the oil yield of the studied sunflower hybrids, while other properties had an indirect effect on the oil yield by way of the seed yield and oil content.
