Filamentous germs of various intensities were found among the studied potato varieties. The Ostara variety had the highest percent of tubers containing filamentous germs (15.79), while the Desiree variety had the lowest. Tubers containing filamentous germs were not found in the Dragacevka variety. There is no difference between tubers which have normal germs (33.37%) and which form filamentous germs, with regard to the presence of the potato leaf-roll virus. 55% of the clones, each with one tuber kept at Guca, formed filamentous germs, while all the other tubers or one part of them had no germs. This means that filamentous germs appear at the clone level and that they are connected with all tubers taken from one plant.
