Technological characteristics of Oblacina sour cherry grown in Toplice area [Yugoslavia]

The following characteristics have been established for the Oblacina sour cherry, grown in ecological conditions found in Toplica (Yugoslavia): 1. ripening takes place from June 25th to the 30th (except in the Jastrebac orchard, where it takes place from July 2nd to the 10th, because of higher altitude); 2. average fruit weight is 2.36 g (flesh weight is 2.04 g, and 0.32 g is the kernel weight); 3. average diameter of the fruit is 16.5 mm and 7.5 mm of the kernel; 4. number of pieces per 1 kg is 430; 5. content of dry matter is 14-16%, of total sugar 8.45-11.10%, of acids 1.59-1.75% and of minerals 0.32-0.52%. Ecological and other conditions are suitable for growing the Oblacina sour cherry in the studied region.
