By testing the possibilities of using silaged corn chop, made of high-moisture grains of corn, as a component of the initial concentrate mixture for feeding calves, the following had been established: by partially or completely substituting corn chop, made of dry corn grains, with silaged corn chop, made of high-moisture corn grains, the same growth and finishing weight are achieved in calves up to three months, as by feeding them with the initial concentrate mixture made of dry corn grains; getting accustomed to the concentrate with corn chop made of high-moisture silaged corn was slow in the first period of its use.
