Selection of new types of dominant glandless cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) germplasm

The paper reports the result of dominant glandless gene transfer to G. hirsutum for the selection of new dominant glandless upland cotton by interspecific hybridization between dominant glandless line of Hai 1 (G. babademse) and gland upland line of G. hirsutum. After three backcrossed two self pollinations and strictly manual selections of new types of glandless upland cotton with no significant difference to the parent upland cotton in plant type, leaf shape, coronal size, petal color, petal without red spots, boll and bract have been selected
