Microflora of soil and rhizosphere of some wild vegetations in Taif, Saudi Arabia

Microflora of sandy loam soil from water course runnels as well as the rhizosphere of wild herbaceous plants (5 species) in Taif were investigated on soil extract and rose-bengalstreptomycin, agar media for determination of total counts of bacteria and fungi respectively. Physical properties, organic matter content, total soluble nitrogen, total soluble salts were determined for soil samples.
