This paper focuses on the genetic conservation and exchange of rice germplasm by IRRI [International Rice Research Inst., Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines] and two-major rice-growing and germplasm-rich countries, China and India. They serve as examples of active international cooperation. Attention is given to additional measures that will further strengthen aspects of genetic conservation and use.
