In 1980-82 investigations on the effect of cultivation technology of potatoes adapted to their utilization kind on the content and yield of dry matter, phosphorus, potassium, various nitrogen forms and on darkening of boiled and raw tubers and their palatability were carried out. The investigations were based on four potato varieties: Ronda, Janka, Reda and Odra. The experimental plots were arranged in 4 treatments with cultivation of edible, fodder, industrial potatoes and potato seeds. For every treatment the agrotechnics corresponding to the utilization kind was applied. The Ronda variety constituted a standard for all treatments
