Among 5 forms of Hordeum bulbosum the largest per cent of haploid plants was obtained by pollinating H. vulgare with H. bulbosum clones B1 and B5 selected at the firm Florimond Desprez (France). Observations on crossability with H. bulbosum of the cv. Apex, Havila, Krystal, Roland and their hybrids showed partial incompatibility of the cv. Apex with H. bulbosum. On the basis of results concerning F1 hybrids it was been found that incompatibility of the cv. Apex with H. bulbosum does not show a complete domination. This fact is significantly important, since in breeding works haploid forms are obtained most frequently from hybrids of early generations. The paper also present a preliminary estimation of yielding of some doubled haploid barley lines obtained as a result of doubling the chromosome number in haploid forms
