The author regards as the most important tasks recultivation and modernization of the reclamation system of grasslands on postbog areas. High losses of organic matter of peatlands, even at their moving utilization, as well as unfavourable ecologic changes in the drained valleys are stressed. Methods of improvement of the reclamation of already reclaimed areas and abandoning the drainage of non-reclaimed peatlands and river valleys are suggested
