Effect of foliar fertilization by microelements on the yields of horse-beans depending on row spacing and plants

The effect of foliar fertilization by a mixture of boron, molybdenum, and manganese on two cultivars, of horse-beans (Nadwislanski and Jasny 2) in the conditions of differentiated row spacing (14, 28 and 42 cm) was investigated. The microelements of quantities of 2 kg of borax (B=227 g), 5 kg of manganese sulphate (Mn=991 g), and 0.15 kg sodium molybdate (Mo=81 g) were given in solution as 600 litres per ha, at the beginning of formation the first flower buds. It was found that the microelements effected an increase of the yield of seeds and protein per unit of superficy. The spacing of rows modified the influence of cultivar and fertilization to a very small degree. The amino acid composition of the protein depended to a greater degree on the cultivar than on microelement fertilization and row spacing
