Influence of spray irrigation on the yields of the most important varieties of fruit trees under orchard production conditions

The experiment was held in 1981 to 1985 in an orchard of the surface of 130 ha. Two varieties of plum trees, three varieties of apple trees and tart cherry tree were irrigated with the spray irrigation method. The influence of irrigation on trees bearing, on a single fruit weight, number of fruit, on length and girth gain of year shoots and, in the case of apple trees, on the content of sugars, vitamin C and dry matter were examined.
