Influence of nitrogen fertilization on the amino acid composition of potato tubers

The changes in the content of dry matter, total nitrogen, protein nitrogen, and amino acids in tubers of potato varieties, under the influence of increasing nitrogen fertilization, were studied. Increasing rates of nitrogen fertilization caused the increase of total nitrogen content, decrease of protein nitrogen content in total nitrogen, and the increase of all determined amino acids content in dry matter of tubers. Percentage share of particular amino acids in total quantity of protein was not dependent on the level of nitrogen fertilization
