The book outlines the activities of the Home -economics programme in the Ministry of Agriculture whose objective among others is to give practical and useful information in relation to the basic human needs which include shelter, clothing and the social aspects of human development with the ultimate aim of improving the quality of family life. It gives practical guidelines to the extension staff on the programme for proper execution of their work.
