Dynamics of assimilates synthesis and accumulation in sunflower

Different parental lines and hybrids of sunflower were investigated, CMS-Ha-V-8931-3-4; RHA-59; NS-H-26-RM; OCMS-22; RHA-SNRF and NS-H-43. The investigation was carried out with the use of radioactive carbon 14C. The content of sugars, fatty acids, amino acids, proteins and oil was determined in seed samples every 7 days in the course of seed maturation. Significant variations of the investigated metabolites were observed in the course of seed development in the examined genotypes.
