"Crna poda" black pine (Pinus nigra) forest preserve [Yugoslavia]

The black pine (Pinus nigra) forest preserve on the locality Crna Poda was proclaimed the research preserve by the Law on National Parks of Montenegro (Yugoslavia). The preserve is about 40 hectares of the area. The dominant species is the black pine with the height reaching up to 51 m, whereas the subdominant one is beech (Fagus silvatice). The total wood mass reaches up to 1645.57 m/ha, the volume of the investigated black pine stands being 1440.86 m/ha. The age of some trees is over 450 years.
