The content of clorophyll and tannin has been determined in the leaves of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.), picked during the growing period in 1985. The obtained results show that there is no correlation between the content of tannin and chlorophyll in the leaves of stringing nettle during the growing period. The content of chlorophyll is significantly higher at the beginning of the growing period, when the leaves are young and intensively green, than towards the end. The tannin content gradually increases in the leaves during the growing period and reaches its maximum in the summer period.
