Antifungal properties of newly synthetized derivatives of coumarin

The effect of newly synthetized derivatives of 3-alkyl-4--hydroxycoumarine, 4-acetoxy-3-alkylcoumarine and 3-alkyl-4--benzoyloxycoumarine were tested for antifungal activity. This study indicates that derivatives of 3-alkyl-4-benzoylcoumarine significantly inhibits growth of molds of genera Aspergillus, Fusarium and Trichotecium.
