The influence of irrigation with saline water using furrow and drip irrigation methods on yield and quality of tomato fruit

On the basis of the obtained results it is clear that the tomato yield was about 12% lower using drip than using furrow irrigation method. The highest yield compared to the utilized water quantity was obtained during the optimum regimes of irrigation, in this case 75% and 100% of ETM (maximum evopotranspiration of watered plants). In future, the treatments with 50% and 125% of ETM are not recommended. For the further experiments the quantities of water of 75% and 100% of ETM are recommended, giving the optimum results by utilization of saline water for irrigation.
