This paper deals with the calculation of potential economic effects of irrigation on variants of production orientations which have the greatest possibility of being achieved in practise. In comparison with "average" investments in other parts of Yugoslavia, it was proven that there are above average economic and production effects of investing funds in irrigation, as part of the Dunav-Tisa--Dunav system.
