The fauna of nematodes was investigated in the soil of tobacco growing regions of Pitomaca, Virovitica and Podravska Slatina in Croatia (Yugoslavia). The analysis of soil and root samples proved the existence of 11 nematoda genera. 8 nematoda species were identified, while 11 more species were probably new species not described yet.
