The analyzed data showed that the number of cones per tree varies greatly and does not depend on the used locality for the studied plantation of the eastern white pine (Pinus strobus L.). The cone length also varies and agrees with the data from literature with regard to its marginal values. The cone width is considerably smaller compared to the data given in literature. There is a wide range of cone weights, but it is 23.3 g., on the average. The total number of seeds per cone, in the same year, amounts to 30.5 grains on the average, while the number of full seeds was 24.93. The absolute weight of seeds is, on the average, greater than it is given in literature. The characteristics of seed germination have also been determined.
