In this paper, on the example of investments for the creation of an irrigation system, the effect of the inflation rate and the rate for calculating the efficacy of the invested means on the final amount of investments is analysed. The effect of the level rate for calculating the efficacy of invested means on the total amount of investment is analysed with and without inflation. Particular attention is being paid to establishing the total investments when differentiating the inflation rate from the calculating rate of the efficacy of the invested means.
