As an onion producer, Chile appears as a leader in the exportation activity in Latin America. In spite of that, a significant progress towards the consolidation of the Chilean onion exportations in the mayor international merkets has not been observed. This work intends to describe the local sector and its projection towards the markets of Japan, England and USA, to provide a broader base about the Chilean onion market, its limitations and potentiality
