Koirala, M.
Seventy-four percent of respondents were males and 26% were females with an average age of 43.66 years. The average farm size was 1.68 ha while average area devoted to woody perennials was 0.86 ha. Out of the total farm size about 52% was covered with forestry crops while the rest was covered with agricultural crops. The average income from the forestry and agricultural crops were P194.19 and P1,291.07, respectively. Average farming and agrofarming experience was 7.71 and 5.36 years, respectively. Farms were planted to annuals like tomato, camote, papaya, cassava and rice; and perennials like gmelina, mango, jackfruit, ipil-ipil, acacia, atis, cashew, guayabano, and guava. The area of the woody perennial cultivated was significantly related to farm size. Awareness of the farmers on agroforestry was highly significant with agroforestry experience and income from the woody perennial, while it was not significant with education, area of the woody perennial and income from woody perennial. Awareness was significantly related to attitude.
