Agricultural image, news selection policy interest level in agricultural news agenda setting of television and newspaper in Thailand

Results showed that agricultural image projected by TV and newspapers was generally favorable or positive. The agricultural news selection policy and agenda-setting function of the two media were not significantly different. The X to the second power test for two independent samples of the two media revealed that the presentation of crop production news content, forestry news content, and persons who appeared in agricultural news were significantly different at 0.05 level. However, it was not significantly different for the kind of news, fishery news content and livestock news content. For the relationship among agricultural image, news selection policy and interest level for agenda setting function, it was found that the agricultural image projected by television was significantly correlated to news selection policy and interest level in agenda-setting function. For newspaper, agricultural image was significantly correlated to the news selection policy but not to the interest level in agenda-setting function.
