It was found that the rate of proliferation of shoots useful for rooting was especially high when explants were prepared from shoots 3 to 4 cm long without a 1 cm apical part. Rooting of shoots was improved by darkness during the first 5 days on IBA containing medium and by addition of 80 mg/l phloroglucinol and 200 mg/l L-arginine and 200 mg/l L-proline
