The study was conducted for five months to determine the growth response of calamansi (Citrus madurensis Lour) rooted cuttings to varying proportion of potting media and different sizes of container. Four levels of vermicompost, two levels of both sand and garden soil in three container sizes with 11 replications were arranged in factorial complete randomized design (CRD) inside the screenhouse. Number of leaves, plant height, leaf area, girth diameter and root and shoot and shoot dry weight were taken 140 days from potting. Nitrogen content of the plant was also analyzed. Container size had significant effect on all parameters except plant height. Bigger container favored growth of calamansi rooted cuttings. The level of sand significantly affected girth diameter, shoot dry weight and leaf area while garden soil affected plant height, girth and number of leaves. Vermicompost alone did not significantly influence the different growth parameters but when interacted with other factors had significant effect on plant height, girth, leaf area and shoot dry weight. Root dry weight was significantly affected by the interaction of sand, garden soil and container size while root dry weight was signficantly affected by the interaction of sand and garden soil as well as interaction of vermicompost, garden soil and container size. Results of this study indicated that 2 parts vermicompost, 2 parts sand, 2 parts garden soil in container size 3 (V2S2G2C3) was best for girth diameter, leaf area, and shoot dry weight as well as high nitrogen concentration of shoot.
