Diquat, a desiccant, was used to estimate the number of days that it is possible to advance the harvest date of sunflower when is planted as a second crop, determining its effect on yield and oil content. Besides, the reproductive stages of the hybrid used (S246) was characterized, defining the different growth stages and relating them to cumulative thermal units
