Experiments were conducted in vitro bulblet formation from organera segments of Rosy lily (Lilium rubellum Baker). 1) The bulblet formation was found to vary with the age of parent plants at excisition. Leaf and stem-segments formed many bulblets when excised from the plants 3 weeks after sprouting. 2) Leaf of 15 mm length formed more bulblets than shorter ones. 3) Bulblet formation also varied with the place where parent plants grew. 4) Bulblet number was same, using sucrose as glucose medium.
