Application methods for polyoxin to black spot (Alternaria kikuchiana Tanaka) on pear [Pyrus serotina] and emergence of resistant strains

The emergence ratio of resistant strains on the number of application times or application intervals of polyoxin and mixtures containing polyoxin was studied. The emergence ratio of resistant strains in orchard by application of the tank mixing or mixtures containing polyoxin was lower than that containing only polyoxin and also suppressed the incidence of the disease. So far as polyoxin was applied one-time two-time, three-time at one-month intervals, resistant strains emerged more in the latter cases. Resistant strains emerged less in the order of two-time application at one-month intervals, two-time application at two-month intervals and two-time application at five-day intervals, and the emergence ratio in two-time application at five-day intervals or three-time application at two-day intervals was almost the same to that of one-time application. Resistant strains decreased more in spring than in the preceding autumn, and polyoxin application during winter didn't influence the emergence of resistant strains
