1991
Niijima, K. | Yamane, A. (Forestry and Forest Products Research Inst., Ibaraki (Japan). Forest Biology Div.)
The effects of reforestation on soil were studied. Soil fauna increased in number and biomass, and Class or Order composition became rich in the reforested sites, which indicate favorable environment provided by reforestation. During the dry season, earthworms survived only in the forest and the reforested stands. The increasing activity of soil fauna in the reforested stands would enhance the improvement of the soil.
