Investigations into the balance of micronutrients were continued in a lysimeter experiment performed on 4 different soils. Uptake of these elements by plants was related to soil type, NPK fertilization, soil liming and irrigation. Nutrient leaching, especially B and Zn may be particularly severe from sandy soils under irrigations and fallowing. The income of micronutrients into soils as fertilizer admixtures and precipitation-borne contaminations was much higher than their expenditure trough plant uptake and leaching
