A 3-year field trial was run to examine the suitability of 2,4-D and MCPA to control weeds in hop gardens. The action of Pielik (2,4-D) and Chwastox (MCPA) was similar. Both gave a fairly good control of dicotyledonous weeds with the exception of Stellaria media. As compared to Afalon, Chwastox gave a better control of Cirsium arvense and Pielik was more effective in killing Convolvulus arvensis and C. arvense
