Effectiveness is a term of no explicit empirical content. Its actual significance usually results from the context of analysis or an additional commentary. A specific and particulary difficult problem is the evaluation of production effectiveness in agriculture particularly when the evaluation is done on the level of farms, considering the preference of individual producers. In the article are presented the basic problems limited with the defining and practical appraisal of farming effectiveness in agriculture
