Results of investigations on the effect of cattle liquid manure on yields of black currant of the Brodtrop and Roodknop varieties are presented. Also the quality of fruits and the content in them of dry matter and basic chemical compounds, like vitamin C, sucroses and organic acids are presented. It has been found that the fertilization with liquid manure results in a higher yielding of bushes, particularly at application of the liquid manure rate of 50 cu. m (180 kg N/ha), and the content of vitamin C and dry matter in berries
