Worsened health of forests puts increased demands on artificial regeneration. Following indicators were examined: contents of selected chemical elements (macroelements, microelements, trace elements); photosynthesis and transpiration rates; contents and degradation of photosynthetic pigments; saccharides contents; amino acids; enzymic activity (antioxidants); conductance of cell liquids, homogenates and leaches; ph value and buffer capacity of homogenates and leaches; water content in plant tissues; anatomy of plant organs.
