The effect of different weaning time and different mating age upon the reproductive performance of gilts included in the stock replacement in the large-scale production was examined. Total number of piglets born per litter increased with gilt's mating age from 7.31 through 7.61 to 8.17 piglets in the gilts mated from 271 to 300 days. Regarding the different weaning time (21 to 35 days) numbers of piglets born (7.80, 7.70 heads) and numbers of piglets reared per litter (6.76, 6.56 heads) were insignificant. The effect of weaning time of litter the gilts come from upon their reproductive traits was not confirmed. The results of reproductive indices have confirmed the inefficiency to mate the gilts for the first litter sooner than at 7.5 months of age. The lowest age limit should be 240 days.
